Volunteer Opportunities
If you want to help make a difference in your community, Schoke Jewish Family Service can use your help. We have volunteer opportunities in many of the programs and services that we offer.

Our on-going volunteer opportunities include:
- Organizing and Maintaining the Kosher Food Pantry (Monday – Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM)
- Primary tasks include stocking shelves, taking inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Home Delivery of Food Pantry Products
- Meeting clients in their homes to provide meals from the Kosher Food Pantry.
- Distributing Food During Kosher Food Pantry Walk-In Hours (Monday – Wednesday, 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM)
- Visiting Home-Bound Clients for a “Friendly-Visit”
- Providing home-bound clients with a weekly visit to alleviate loneliness.
- Home Delivery of Shabbat Meals (Thursdays)
- Pickup of weekly meals and delivery to home-bound clients.
- Helping a client with professional services
- Providing free financial advice, handy-man services, or help with items in the home.

Our one-time volunteer opportunities include:
- Preparing and Distributing Food for the Jewish Holidays and Thanksgiving
- Participating in a Food Drive at a Local Supermarket
- Assisting Office Staff for Event Mailings and Other Administrative Tasks
- Preparing and delivering Mitzvah Baskets to Local Synagogues
