Joan and Ben Zinbarg Camp Scholarship Program

Research has shown that attending a Jewish summer camp helps to strengthen a youngsters’ long-term Jewish identity and involvement in the Jewish community. Unfortunately, summer camp is a luxury for many families in our area.

The Joan and Ben Zinbarg Camp – Schoke Jewish Family Service Scholarship Fund was established to make summer camp a reality. Financial assistance is available for eligible families from Stamford, Westport, Bridgeport, and Upper Fairfield County who are looking for rewarding Jewish summer experiences for their children.

Who We Serve

  • Jewish youngsters living in the Stamford, Westport, Bridgeport, and Upper Fairfield County area.
  • Children must be entering first grade or above in September of the year they will attend camp.
How We Help
  • Scholarships are awarded based on a financial assessment of need, after any subsidies, discounts, and other scholarships have been considered.
How To Apply
  • Applications are available January 2, 2018.
  • Families must request an application from Maria McNulty at 203-921-4161 or mmcnulty@ctjfs.org.
  • All applications are kept strictly confidential.
